Fairtrade represents an alternative to conventional trade and is based on cooperation between producers and consumers. Fairtrade offers producers fairer treatment and more profitable trading conditions. This allows them to improve their living conditions and make plans for the future. For consumers, Fairtrade is an effective way to reduce poverty through their everyday purchases. When a product bears the FAIRTRADE Certification Seal, it means that producers and traders have met Fairtrade criteria. The criteria are intended to correct the imbalance of power in trade relations, the instability of the markets and the injustices of conventional trade.

The principle of organic agriculture is the sustainable production of food on balanced and fertile soils. The farm must be managed according to organic regulations without genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and synthetics. During production and processing, organic and inorganic products should be clearly separated and contamination should be prevented. To reach the organic market, the entire organic production chain must be inspected. If all the requirements are met, the organic certificate can be issued and the applicable logo can be used on certified products.
